Justin Trudeau recently presented Narendra Modi, India’s prime minister, with Olympic snowboarder Mark McMorris’ competition bib.
Modi had shared that he often tells young people about McMorris’ comeback from a horrific injury just 11 months before these Winter Olympics. McMorris ended up winning a bronze medal in PyeongChang.
“We are extremely proud of @markmcmorris! His tenacity and courage inspire people across the world,” tweeted Modi.

Now the connection between these two has been cemented after some help from Trudeau, who was in India on official visit.
“Canadians inspiring the world: PM @narendramodi sometimes tells students the story of @markmcmorris' perseverance back to the podium in the face of injury & adversity. Today, I was honoured to present him with Mark's signed competition bib from #PyeongChang2018,” tweeted Trudeau.
Canada’s prime minister also included a video where he’s seen gifting Modi with McMorris’ PyeongChang competition bib.
