The world is divided between two major groups: those who love cilantro and those who despise it. For those who hate it, iconic chef Julia Child had a trick that will help you survive the shared guacamole.

Chemical scientists have proven that the herb has unique properties that are favoured, or not, based on someone's genetics. Apparently, cilantro has some of the same molecules that are found in certain soaps and lotions, according to Mental Floss.

For people who hate cilantro, the green leaf reminds them of bathroom products. Many wonder if liking the herb has something to do with range in pallet, but the fact of it is, you either like it or you don't. 

Julia Child was on the side of hating cilantro, but, as a chef, she ran into recipes that called for it all of the time. So, her world famous strategy for dealing with the herb?
