Some men just celebrate the month of November with a holiday dinner, others by growing out a mustache, but now, a whole new November trend has taken form and it is not what you'd expect. Nearly 17,000 men and counting have given up sex for the month as part of the "No Nut November" trend.

Yes, you read that right. The phenomenon was born on the popular discussion site Reddit, when a community of men came together to promote abstaining from sex and masturbation.

The "No Nut November" group's description reads, “Those who have found it hard to go even a few days without masturbating attempt to challenge the dependency." Continuing, “some do it just for the memes, while others do it for actual self-improvement.”

With many men suffering from addiction to sex and masturbation, this community was built as a way to support others in stopping these "over-indulgent" tendencies. One user even wrote on the page, “This has actually been the longest I’ve gone without nutting since I started back when I was 12.”

While some hail it as being progressive, others find the page disturbing, and most just find it hilarious. Don't worry "No Nut November" members, December is just around the corner.
