CELEBRITY Kaya Jones

Kaya Jones, a former member of The Pussycat Dolls, recently made several remarks on Twitter that are being construed as transphobic.

Jones began her rant in response to actor James Woods, a fellow Republican celebrity. Woods had tweeted about Planned Parenthood’s message that “Some men have a uterus,” stating: ‘No. They do not.’

“Correct Wow,” tweeted Jones in reply. “Talk about mental illness right there…”

She followed up with an even more inflammatory statement.

“There’s only XY and XX what you mentally feel isn’t what you genetically are. Genetically there’s only two genders people. Not 58. I [can’t] wake up today and say I’m a toaster. Well I guess I could, but that would be defined as mentally ill,” she wrote.

Called out, she finished her rant on the subject with the following comment.

“I’m not being mean, I’m being honest. Science shows us two just 2 not 58 genders. XY and XX. A hermaphrodite is an exception and usually a parent/parents are forced to chose for the child which they will live as. That’s all. There’s only two sexes people.”

“Science gotta love it,” ended the Toronto-born singer.

Campo obrigatório
