CELEBRITY georges st-pierre
If you were one of several waiting travellers who could’ve sworn they saw UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre running through Toronto Pearson International Airport the other day, you’re not crazy—it was him!
St-Pierre confirmed so on Twitter, making it a point to apologize to fans he couldn’t take a photo with.
“I literally sprinted full speed across Pearson airport to catch my flight,” he tweeted. “Sorry to those screaming at me to take pictures, I couldn't stop! Barely made it!”
The proof is in the picture. As you can see, St-Pierre is clearly seated inside a plane, which looks pretty empty despite the rush.

Naturally, some clever fans made light of one of St-Pierre’s nicknames: Rush.
Were you in a... Rush

Those who noticed the Superman logo on his shirt also had some comments about how that helped his speed.

That’s a nonnegotiable shirt for plane rides pic.twitter.com/0KqLZEAijw

And still there were those who made the obvious joke about the fighter getting some training in.
Integrating travel and training. Brilliant!

But most of his followers were just impressed he took the time to explain what could have been perceived as a snub.
The fact you cared enough to even apologize proves you're a gentlemen and the people's champion. GSP!! GSP!!
