Audiences were shocked and saddened after iconic performer, Bono, had to end U2's concert after he abruptly lost his voice on stage.  “I think we can’t go on, it’s not right for you,” the frontman said after playing only five songs.

Having one of the most distinct voices in the entertainment industry, Bono needed to end the show early and seek medical attention out of fear of doing permanent damage.

Actor Ashley Judd was in attendance that night, and took to social media to share a clip of Bono singing right before he left the stage. She wrote, "The power of #bono voice before it surprised him in #Berlin and left him abruptly...he was singing his guts out (per usual). @u2 @U2eiTour The crowd so felt for him as he with surrender was obviously powerless and vulnerable. He’s real and he’s human, too, like we all are."

After the show, U2 released a statement apologizing to their fans. “We don’t know what has happened and we’re taking medical advice. As always, we appreciate our audience’s understanding and all our fans’ support in Berlin and those who travelled from afar. We will update you very soon,” the Irish rockers wrote, according to Page Six

U2 is currently on their Innocence + Experience European tour.
