In a world full of negative press about politicians, a hilarious and heartfelt story about New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is a breath of fresh air. During her appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' the politician revealed that she auditioned for 'Lord of the Rings,' but unfortunately didn't make the cut.
"Some of us auditioned but we didn't make it, okay?!" Ardern said pointing to herself and laughing.
While her attempt at acting may have not gone as planned, Arden's political career is getting plenty of attention. The PM is currently the youngest female world leader, the third female Prime Minister of New Zealand, and the second female world leader to have a baby while in office.
