There's nothing that will get you into the holiday spirit faster than watching the deeply nostalgic story of Sir Elton John unfold in department store John Lewis's new Christmas promotion.
All set to 'Your Song,' the beautifully shot visual tale begins in the present day and moves backwards chronologically through the musician's life and career. He's seen sitting in front of various pianos, microphones and crowds, and sporting hairstyles that range from bright pink to heavy on the sideburns.
It all leads to that crucial moment in his life when he received the special gift of his grandmother's piano for Christmas, and his fate became cemented in the keys. It's a moment that's not just important to him, but to anyone else who has ever been touched by his music.
The advert is summed up at the end, with the slogan: "Some gifts are more than just a gift."
For the first time in 70 years, the Telegraph reports, John Lewis will be selling a range of pianos, and there's no doubt that grandparents everywhere will be snapping them up in hopes that a grandchild will be the next Sir Elton John.
The star himself said that the campaign has "so many warm memories for me and my family," as they all got to relive those precious moments which hold so much more meaning retrospectively.
"It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my grandmother's piano marks the moment when music came into my life."
Some people took the opportunity to make light of the deeply sentimental video, including one Twitter user who called it a "new trailer for the Elton John biopic."

The iconic musician added that the promotional video "is absolutely fantastic and I've truly loved every minute of being a part of it.”
And we've loved watching every minute of it—again and again...and again.
