LIFESTYLE Apple

As news that Apple becomes the first company to build a net worth of $1 trillion shocks the world, a slightly more shocking and far more hilarious technological feat came out of Melbourne, Australia. A 16-year-old boy is now facing criminal charges for repeatedly hacking into Apple's secure network from his own personal laptop.

The young Aussie managed to downloaded 90gb of secure files as well as access customer accounts. The 16-year-old got caught because he digitally hid the instructions and sensitive Apple files in a folder. What did he name the folder you ask? “hacky hack hack.”

Apple responded to the incident in a statement to Reuters, saying, “We… want to assure our customers that at no point during this incident was their personal data compromised.”

The young boy now faces criminal charges and had a hearing at Australia's children's court. His defense lawyer argued that his actions were purely motivated because “he was such a fan of the company.”
