A vulnerability in WhatsApp allowed hackers to install surveillance software in users' phones. The attack was possible due to a security flaw in the app's phone call function. Financial Times reported that the Israeli company NSO is behind the attack. Who has been affected is yet to be determined, but the company advanced that the attack was highly targeted. WhatsApp is urging users to update the app.
But WhatsApp was not the only big company to get hacked.
