Mena Massoud skyrocketed to fame this past summer when news broke that he would be playing Aladdin in Guy Ritchie’s live action remake of the Disney film. Well, as hard as it may be to believe, shooting on the film has just wrapped.
Massoud, who was born in Cairo but raised in Markham, Ontario, marked the occasion on Twitter.
“That's a wrap on #Aladdin! It's been an incredible journey and I can't wait for you to see it summer 2019!”

A few days later, the actor posted a video in which he said goodbye to London, where he had been filming the movie.
“I just wanted to say it’s been a great time. London’s been great,” he said at the airport. “Thank you for joining me on the journey of ‘Aladdin.’”
Explaining that he was on his way to Los Angeles, Massoud also hinted that he has some projects coming up that he’ll soon talk to fans about.
