MOVIES Devon Sawa
Canadian actor Devon Sawa was 17-years-old when fans fell for him as the real life Casper in the 1995 movie of the same name. It was a brief appearance near the end of the movie, but it was enough to make tons of posters of his face go up in teenage bedrooms around the world. It turns out, however, that Casper’s sweet voice was never Sawa’s to begin with!
Sawa recently said so himself on Twitter. “I’m not the voice even in the the 30 seconds I’m in it. Can’t take credit for anything,” he wrote.

It’s true. The real voice behind Casper belongs to American voice actor Malachi Pearson.
Some fans were shocked by the revelation.

Others were quick to assure Sawa that his “30 seconds” were still one of the best parts of the film.
But they were the best 30 seconds of the entire movie. Give yourself a lil more credit!!!!!!

Your 30 seconds was literally the highlight of the movie for me, so you’re getting credit no matter what.

Now here’s a fun fact that Sawa can’t ruin: he also kissed his ‘Casper’ co-star Christina Ricci in another 1995 film, ‘Now and Then.’
