The nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards are in and two Canadian actresses just so happen to be nominated in the same category!

While there are many categories at the Daytime Emmys, most recognize this time of year as the day when soap stars are given their due. And in one category in particular, the odds for a Canadian win are high.

Raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Mishael Morgan is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Hilary Curtis in ‘The Young and the Restless.’

One of those incredible actresses is Jacqueline MacInnes Wood of Windsor, Ontario, nominated for her portrayal of Steffy Forrester Spencer on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’

The two are up against Morgan’s co-stars Elizabeth Hendrickson, Camryn Grimes, and Marla Adams, as well as Susan Seaforth Hayes of ‘Days of Our Lives.’

The 2018 Daytime Emmys will be held on April 29.
